Started at the ski lift up towards the Notch. Starting here posses a huge grade immediately, set us off to be pretty tired for the whole hike. It was pretty warm and very sunny. We continued on to connect with Devils Backbone. You hit another pretty steep area right after passing the restaurant at the top of the lift. Reaching the top of Baldy, it wasn’t too windy. On the way down we headed towards the ski hunt and Manker Flats Campground. This part of the trail was really steep. The ground was a soft dirt and gravel that made for a very slippery trail. Overall it was very beautiful but definitely a challenging hike.
