Quiet Sunday morning hike, with the full moon setting and sun rising. I couldn't have timed it better! Light traffic, no banged knees or bruises. Smooth ascent and descent. Missed the sunrise by a half hour, but that's ok. I'll do this one again soon. Boulder climbing was good prep for Flatiron, which is about 5 times tougher than this Phoenix favorite! Go early to avoid the crowds. The parking lot was a mess by 9am.
