Amazing way to finish out the Challenge! The fire road was finally open, as it was clear of any machinery or signs. The 5.5 miles went by quick – Elevation was challenging, but I still had Christmas carbs in me 🙂 I did this hike 6 years ago and I just remember all the burned trees. This time, I saw all the beauty, the regrowth, the promise. If 2020 taught me anything, it's to focus on the positive…there is so much in life to be grateful for!
