This was my first time hiking Mount Woodson or the more trendy “Potato Chip Rock” and the first peak of my Challenge. I hit the trail at gates open at 6AM which is an hour later than I typically like to start. I was pleasantly surprised on the way up how well maintained the trail was and that it wasn’t crowded as I’ve heard stories of. After a short 5 minute wait I grabbed my obligatory Potato Chip Rock photo, sought out the elevation bench mark for a photo and alas cracked my well earned beer. #beersintow The trip down was a bit less enjoyable with heavier traffic and larger groups heading up. All in all a good morning.
