It was a rainy and long 10 mile hike.  Trails were muddy and flooding.  Needed rain gear, however, it did get hot ascending with layers on.  Luckily, Greylock has a couple  shelter shacks that gave us a few minutes out of the rain for breaks.   Saw an abundance of budding Trilliums throughout the hike.  Summit was foggy and visibility  not great; but still beautiful at the top.  No pain, no gain…. even without most of the spectacular views at summit!
