I couldn't be more excited to hike this mountain for such a great event! However this is the highest elevation I've been at and I had to remind myself I couldn't go any faster (at 8,800 ft) even if I wanted to because the elevation was getting to me. It was a good way to learn patience and I'll need it for the last three peaks. Not every hike is a sprint. It was a lot hotter than I expected, very exposed. The views, the people and the experience was worth it! Garmin tracked 12 mi. 3448 ft elevation gain.
