Hiking El Cajon after the Thursday rains provided the perfect condition. Take the reviews and comments seriously. This was by far one of the hardest hikes I’ve done with a total of roughly 4000’ of elevation climbed. I encountered about 10 people so it truthfully offered a serene, meditative environment to get connected to the mountain. The views throughout are incredible, but sitting alone at the summit for a few moments was extraordinary. This hike was another reminder of the beauty of this planet, so thank you for letting me enjoy a part of it.
