Started at 5.15am from the trailhead. A warm day but the chilly wind just balanced it out all the way to the top.

Gradual elevation all the way to the Icehouse Canyon Saddle. A decent walk to the Minor Saddle with some elevation drop and gain. The last ~1.4 miles is pretty steep but the 5-6 switchbacks made the gain pretty smooth. Loose rocks and gravel throughout. Ocean of distant cloud cover could be seen all along. Surreal views being on top of the clouds at the peak. Lots of little streams had formed in the last 2 miles on our way down.

Definitely carry a lot of water and electrolytes. Start as early as possible trailhead parking gets filled up by 5.30am. Took us like ~4.5 hrs to the top and less than 3 hrs down with like 2 hours on the top enjoying the view with some hot noodles and coffee. An amazing day overall.
