Fun girls weekend backpacking trip to Mt. San Gorgonio! We were able to conquer the mountain known to us as the “beast”. Beautiful weather, except when it came time to pack up… rain, hail and thunder told us it was time to go! At least we got off the summit in time!

We were a little worried about the road in through Forest Falls due to recent mudslides, but they did a GREAT job of clearing the roads, it's amazing to see how much debris had been cleared and piled up on the side of the road! A little bit of a wait while they continued working, but not bad at all.

We started on a Friday morning and the parking lot was only partially full, plenty of parking at 11:00 a.m.

Cloudy hike most of the way up, but hot. We didn't get any rain the first day.

  1. Sounds like you ladies had an Amazing Trip! I got caught in such a storm in the Eastern Sierras with my dad and sister; that’s some scary stuff to say the least! So Proud of you gals!
