It was around 0500 when we arrived at the parking lot/trailhead and while we were preparing our pack the whole town showed up. I have never seen a trailhead parking lot got packed so quickly. It is always nice to hear the sound of the creek and was looking forward to dip our feet towards the end of the hike. We arrived at the summit after 5 1/2 hrs and there was a line to take picture at the famous rock with the sign. So, we took our time to relax, eat homemade beef jerky and Raising Canes Chicken Tenders…… I wish I brought some rice 🙁 . After all the poses and jumping for the pictures we started heading down. When we were about 1.5 mile to the trailhead, we then started looking for a spot to relax and we found a good one. It was a down tree branch across the creek about 3 ft off the water. We were then able to sit down and soothe our sore feet with the refreshingly cold water.
