Important to note: our GPS (and time) clocked this hike at 14 miles, not 11.6! I'm not sure how the trail reports I read came up with that number, but it was clearly 7 miles to the top based on our figures.

My husband Rob and I started the Cucamonga Hike at 6:15am on Labor Day and the parking lot was almost empty. It was a cool, shaded morning, and the scenery those first few miles is beautiful following along Icehouse Creek.
We reached the Ice House Saddle at 8am (3.6 miles). It was a scenic place to stop. We proceeded up to the top, reaching the summit at 9:40am.
On average, we were at a 30-minute mile pace, which made this hike right at 7 hours.
Would highly recommend, although those last three at the bottom went on forever….. 😉
