Today was a hot day, but I decided to go for this peak anyway since it was actually a little cooler than earlier in the week.  I brought lots of water and ended up using almost all of it on the hike.  The parking lot was full and overflowing when I arrived late, but I was lucky enough to find a spot where someone had just left.  I really didn't know if I was up to this today so I'm so proud that I made it.  Just hiking to the saddle is tough, with 2.4 miles of ascent left after that.  I saw a group of hikers talking to one guy who was lying down under a tree, it seemed like maybe he was suffering from heat exhaustion, so I was happy that I had brought so much water and was pacing myself.  The last little trek to the top is tough, but I made it.  There were just two people there when I made it to the top and they were nice enough to take my photo.  We chatted a bit and then I got going down.  Overall a great hike, and I was very proud of this one.
