I started my hike from ice house canyon at 6am with a perfect weather, it was probably 65 degrees and no sleep from the previous day. There was a lot of hikers already there ready to start their hike. I took all the necessary items I might need for this hike such as water, food, hiking gear, and a friend that grew up in the mountains of a Central American village, therefore hiking for him was just part of his daily routine back in his country.
This was my first time hiking more than 10 miles almost nonstop but it was worth it. The trail is not so hard for the first 3 miles, but it started to get really difficult as the trail started getting more steep and the trail was covered in thick snow.  We stayed on the peak for about 30 minutes to eat and take the famous picture with the elevation wooden sign. My legs were sore but my friend kept me at a good pace. Once we got to ice house canyon trail, I found it easier if we ran the last few miles down.
