Beautiful views! Unlike all the people slipping and falling on the ice – that wasn't pretty at all. Started around sunrise and wore my microspikes for a lot of the trail. Went with a group, several of whom only made it a few minutes before deciding to turn back due to the ice and lack of traction. Poles were super helpful as well. This would be a very easy hike on dry trails, but I was surprised how sore I was – I definitely used some new muscles trying to keep myself stable for 8 miles (yes, we took the wrong trail for about a half mile).
