5 of 6 San Diego peaks for me down. This one was a very nice hike, if you avoid the road as your hike up the peak. I do not understand why so many people hike up a paved road to these peak because that's not a trail and kind of ugly. The trail from the campground that lead up the peak, with the final half mile on the paced road, was beautiful and worth the hike. Bugs were a little bad at the bottom near the creak but once you start going up they become less of a problem.

Like with Mount Woodson and peak with towers upon them are not as enjoyable as those without. Generally these companies fence off the actual summit leaving a view point for hikers to enjoy. But I prefer reaching the actual summit of a peak instead of whatever side trail some company sets up. Still a great view from the top though.

Now onto the final peak of SD, Palomar.
