As noted in the title of this missive this was our 5th of the six peaks on offer here in lovely San Diego County.  We went in to today's hikes with the goal of finishing up the challenge in January.  We had completed the Volcan Mtn hike early last year so we knew that Cuyamaca was going to be the big unknown with regard to how many matches we would need to burn in order to get both of the hikes done in one day.  Turns out, this hike was strenuous enough to get the heart pumping but the fact that is was all on a beautifully paved fire road made this one a pretty easy endeavor.  We were able to get it done in less than 2 hours with a moving time of 1:53.  The views throughout the hike were great.  Once we hit the top we came across two young lovers (Fully clothed BTW. Gutter minds) sitting on the north side of the summit pad trying to make like it wasn't WINDY and actually pretty darn chilly.  Ah youth. It makes us do things that we wouldn't even consider once we hit our sixties.  Great hike, clean restrooms @ the trailhead, and super polite staff at the gate.
