We started this hike at 5am to beat the heat. The weather was perfect the whole way up with a nice breeze. Made it to the top in 4 1/2 hours then heading back down to the restaurant and had some lunch and beers to celebrate our victory. Took the chair lift the rest of the way down- 15 bucks one way but our legs thanked us for sure

Did you go up past the ski hut? That’s a great way to go, then down the Devil’s Backbone to the Notch. ?
Yes we did, It was a great hike, Mt Baldy is probably my top one out of these! And the food at the Notch was delish!!!
