Challenging hike with elevation gain almost 4k was how we decided to celebrate the 4th of July! Panoramic views from the summit made it very memorable and totally worht it. We spoke to other hikers who made this a tradition. Could not have wished for a better day. Going down the Devil's Backbone provided more sweeping views from the skinny ridge. Sections of this trail are not for those with fear of heights.
