ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

No bugs

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

After closely watching the weather all week (originally there were thunderstorms forecast!), we decided to take a shot at Mount Baldy. Rather than doing the loop, we took Devil’s Backbone out and back as that section of the trail is my favorite. That put the total mileage around 13.6. Only minor snow patches left— easily crossablw and for the most part you can find a way around them if you really don’t want to cross. Chilly and some clouds moved in closer to noon, but overall calm winds and a beautiful day.
