Another perfect day for hiking on this beautiful Memorial Day. Weather was in the low 70’s when we set out. We got to the parking lot around 9:30 and it was full, luckily grabbed a spot as someone was just coming down and leaving. Make sure you have your Adventure Pass as a Ranger pulled in and was writing tickets. Amazing how many people don’t have one as he just went from car to car writing one after another. Got to the summit in just over 2 hours, had lunch at the peak for about 45 minutes and 2 hours down. A little slow on the way down as my pup was tired and with about a mile left just stopped and laid down in the middle of the trail! We rested and then I carried her for a bit until she got her wind back for the final push. My fourth peak so far, 2 more to go to complete the 6 pack.
