I finished up my hiking year on Peralta Trail to Fremont Saddle and beyond. This was a fun hike with a steady uphill and a nice break from all the climbs we've done this past month. We hiked beyond the saddle looking for a point called Lone Pine, but took the wrong trail. It got us closer to Weaver's Needle (which was amazing to see) but we had to turn around because we ran out of time. Lone Pine will come another day, another hike. It was a beautiful, sunny day, the trail was a little too crowded for someone who appreciates solitude, but still a great hike. This is one of the few trails on the challenge that allows dogs so we brought them along, and they loved it!
