Arrived to the trailhead a bit late 0930. Road lead right up to the bear canyon trailhead—> Sitton Peak. Stopped buy the Ortega Oaks candy shop for our adventure passes, and some trail goodies. Weather was perfect! 60-65 with mild clouds the entire way up. I hiked Sitton with my girlfriend Jessie, and our 1 1/2 year old blue heeler “Nova”. Trail was very clean, and easy to navigate. Ran into about 6-8 other hikers on the trail. Two are doing the SoCal Peak challenge also! Loved the trail, not very difficult till the last half mile climb. Great way to kick off the challenge! Trail Advice- Have good hiking socks.. 27,000 steps later is no joke. ; )
