I have wanted to summit Santiago Peak since I moved here in 1994. Today I achieved my goal with Christine Anzell Carrell.  It was cold and windy at the start and on the peak. However it was hot on the way down (we picked a day that was in the 80's, of course). It was a beautiful clear day and the scenery was amazing. What Views!! The people we came across on motorcycles and vehicles were all very nice. One even offered us water.

  1. Hi Adrian. Congrats! I just asked Christine this same questions but I thought I would ask you too.

Can you tell me more about parking? I’m confused as to where to park. I have read that you can park at Maple Springs visitors center but it puts an additional 3 miles on the hike and I read that if the gate is open you can park up the road a bit. What did you do and if you parked up the road a bit, can you tell me about it and can a tesla park there without off roading?

Thanks for your help. I am hitting #2 which is Strawberry on my list on Monday then I am hoping to hit up Santiago.
