We left SF at 6:30am and arrived at the trailhead around 8am. There was plenty of parking available with restrooms and maps available. The hike was very easy with little elevation. The views were stunning but mostly covered by a thick layer of fog. We noticed a few Volkswagen Bugs' along the trail that were starting to be overtaken by vegetation. The summit left much to be desired – it is just a giant square building and the views were entirely covered with fog. It started to rain lightly on the way down the hill but the tree coverage was a great protection. The hike was not straining at all and we enjoyed the small streams along the way. I would recommend sunscreen even on cloudy days – our whole group got sunburnt!
