Fish Creek is the easy way up San G- I almost feel like we were cheating ???? After doing Baldy Ski hut last weekend, the shallow elevation gain was lovely.

weather was great, relatively cool. It was only hot back in the valley by the trailhead at the end of our hike, so we definitely lucked out for that!

logged just under 22 miles, so about the same distance as the other San G trails, but only about 3600’ of gain over it. Trail crews were out cleaning up the last of the downed trees on the path, only a few small ones left and I expect they will be gone today. It’s sad to walk through some of the burned area – not much remaining in places. But there’s also parts where the scrub and brush is back in full force so it’s good to see the forest at its start of renewal.

the sign has been stolen again. We are planning on another San g trip in a few weeks so if it hasn’t been replaced we may need to bring one up ourselves ????
