While this hike was long and difficult due to all the steep inclines it was very scenic and beautiful especially when you get near the summit. Going down the hill towards the middle of the hike  you can see the ocean water/downtown SD so there definitely were a lot of beautiful sightseeing areas.  I honestly loved this hike more than mount Palomar. There were a lot more people here than Mnt. Palomar but for good reason. It can be dangerous where there are lots of rocks. I could have rolled my ankle from slipping off a rock but I didn’t thank goodness. I ever had my trekking poles and still almost ate it.  But overall a great hike especially if you want to go the distance.  It wasn’t too hot when I went (high of 67 probably) so I only needed 2 ltr of water and a little bit of Gatorade
