This hike was a challenge! I heard a lot about it from fellow hikers and I'm not going to lie, I was nervous! I'd never done a hike that was this long or had this much elevation gain. Now that I've done it, I can say it wasn't as bad as what I had expected.

The weather was perfect in the low 60s. We started our climb at 8:15 a.m. and arrived at the summit around 11:50 a.m. We hydrated, snacked, and chilled out for a bit. After taking some beautiful pictures from the top, we made our way back down. Coming down, there was a lot more downhill than uphill, thankfully. It was much easier.

We arrived back to our cars at approximately 3:15 p.m. I was very impressed with our time. I had honestly expected it to take 8 hours. I'm so happy to have had such a great small group of people to tackle this mountain with. I'm very proud of this accomplishment.
