El Cajon Mountain aka “the beast”

El Cajon/El Capitan trail head

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road rough but passable

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Snow free

This was hands down a burner.  Just when I thought we were done climbing I'd look ahead and there's another climb. This one kicked my butt for sure but I have longer hike to come and this one was a good measuring stick.
