Bring poles! This hike is extremely rocky and scrambling is required in some areas. Get to trailhead EARLY as it fills up very quickly. The elevation is NOT what makes this hike hard. What makes this hike hard is the terrain. You do get a reprieve from the rocks once in a while and its surely welcome
