This was the peak I did not reach. Saturday morning me my daughter and my girlfriend Michelle and her group of friends started the hike. Soon my girlfriend Michelle and I were going at our normal pace which was faster than the rest of our group. We were kicking ass. As the sun came up it got cold so we wrapped our 13 month old daughter up in a blanket and carried on our hike. Upon reaching the saddle I took off the baby carrier style backpack. As we ate lunch and let Baby Adela walk around a bit the rest of our group made it up. After a little rest our group packed up and headed to the top. After a while the wind kicked up very bad. My daughter started crying and tapping me on the back of my neck. That's her telling me she's had enough!!. After trying to wrap her up with the blanket again it just got to windy. I told Michelle you finish the hike I'm turning around and getting my daughter back to the treeline as soon as I can!!. So that's what I did. After getting down in the trees again the wind stopped and my daughter went to sleep. So no I didn't summit this peak. No I dont regret my decision. And no I wont be back to do it again by myself. All of these peaks I conquered with my daughter on my back and this was the reason for this challenge. To take her on these not for my benefit. I'm ok with waiting until she says she is ready then we will go again. Or perhaps she wont want to come back. I'm ok with that too.

I say it counts! Well done, dad!
