Although I started this hike with a group of women I completed it SOLO… and conquering the Flat Iron was NO easy feat 5.5 miles round-trip was more like 7.18 miles for me. I lost sight of the trail and eventually had to circle back and restart. Note to self if I ever return: stay LEFT!

What this experience has taught me: 1️⃣Don’t rely on others to show you the way. Carry your own map. 2️⃣Trust your gut. 3️⃣Pace yourself. 4️⃣Believe you can.

This just might be my least FAV of the 64 trails I’ve hiked over the course of a year but nonetheless I did it! It was definitely challenging on all levels. Mind. Body. Soul. Nonetheless I am proud of myself, too!

***when you get to the wall go left there’s two ways up and the wall on the left was an easier ????????‍♀️ up***
