My family hiked this peak with me! We knew it would be hard, and it was one one of the furthest away for us, so we camped at Henry Coe State Park. We got up early Tuesday morning because the ranger told us snow flurries were coming late afternoon up on the mountain. It was definitely a cold day! My teenagers were great. They were challenged but I was so grateful to have my entire family along on one peak with me. The long inclines were a challenge and my youngest did shed a few tears, but alas, she did it! We finished just as the rains began!!
