I celebrated Father's Day hiking up Mount San Jacinto via the Devils Slide Trail at Humber Park in Idyllwild.  Due to the quota permit to hike through Devils Slide Trail, there was plenty of parking at the trailhead at 6:00 am.  The ascent/descent of Devils Slide Trail is not too steep and strenuous compare to Marion Mountain Trail.  Beautiful scenery and views of Tahquitz Peak and Suicide Rock.  I ran into hikers coming from the Palm Springs Tram.  When I reach at the summit, the winds were strong, but it calm down so I was able to have lunch and enjoy the views of Palm Springs.  A hiker arrived with a beautiful elevation board she made since it has been recently that someone keeps stealing the San Jacinto elevation board.  She left the board behind so anyone at the peak can use it to have their photo taken.  The view at the summit as always, spectacular!  I will take the Palm Springs Tram on my next hike to San Jacinto.
