Trail is in great condition, but there are 4 distinct sets of switchbacks. The first switchback everyone knows about, but the fourth one is even more daunting given its climbing from 10000’ to 11200’. Might want to mention this. Water in streams is still running strong, long hike. Arrive at trailhead early. Got there at 5 and it was full(have to park in lower lot). People are starting hikes much earlier. I have now done the “original “ 6 peaks.

A big thank you to Jeff Hester for creating this. I took the challenge to set an example for others as well as myself. I am 58, have had open heart surgery for aortic valve replacement and 4 cancer operations( one surgery removed my lower left lung lobe). I must say, one can do anything if they put their mind, heart and soul into it. As I encounter and mentor others who have had to face similar medical conditions, I will let them know life does not end with a diagnosis of cancer or open heart surgery, and I will point out the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge, and that they can push themselves to live life to the fullest.

Thank You !!!
