First hike of the year. Cold, mostly cloudy day, only in the 30’s at noon near the summit, but that didn’t stop the crowds. Very busy today, both bottom lots were filled, so had to start at the summit. Hiked down to the start of the summit trail, then turned and hiked backed up. Lots of groups, families and tons of bikers. It’s supposed to be very cold and rainy the next few days, snow level is expected to drop to 2500ft, well below the summits 3800ft, so trying this hike again Tuesday and hoping for less crowds and lots of snow!????
