I've hiked FLATIRON a bunch of times but this was the first time taking my dog.  You are supposed to keep your dog on a leash but its very difficult to navigate while holding a leash.  There are parts where you must use your hands and could loose your balance if your dog pulls you.  My dog luckily is very good off leash and ignores other dogs while hiking and love people.  I was very pleasantly surprised at how well she did.  The only part we struggled with is right near the end where you need to hoist your self up.  It was way to high for her to get up and I know other dogs get up there but not sure how.  Luckily I had a friend with me who got up and I handed her up to him.  On the way down we did the same thing but it didn't go quite as smoothly.

If any one knows an easier way to navigate that section with a dog please let me know?

If you like a mix of terrains, have good balance, have grippy shoes, love to hike and are not afraid to occasionally use your hands then this hike is great!
