This is the hike I was most nervous about, and ended up being a rare hike where I preferred the uphill to the downhill. There were many ‘WTF' moments on the way up and even more moments where I was wondering how on earth I was going to safely get down. Well….I did, but by the skin of my teeth. I'm not what one would define a graceful person, and this tested the boundaries. I'm in awe of all the people who raced past me like this was just a normal everyday jog. I also did not love the group full of tween boys, who were loud and obnoxious and who, throughout the hike, proceeded to throw rocks downhill. But I'm trying to stay positive and want to end this on a good note: the scenery was so beautiful, made even more so by all the wildflowers in bloom. I'm thankful for the challenge the hike presented, and proud of my accomplishment!

  1. Congrats on finishing, and on keeping a positive attitude despite the differing challenges this trail gave you. I also would have struggled staying upright on this challenging trail. Your hike log title made me laugh. Great job!
