This was my third time at Lost Dutchman (which is becoming one of my fav state parks) and first time reaching the summit of Flatiron via the Siphon Draw trail. I attempted it last weekend, but ran out of time, which actually worked out perfectly for this challenge. It is certainly a difficult hike, and at my own pace, I completed it (leaving my car and getting back) in just under 5 hours. Definitely not for the faint of heart! There is a lot of rock climbing, as well as loose rock. So make sure you have good hiking shoes, with good traction, and take your time! The weather was a perfect 87 degrees, with a nice breeze going up 🙂
