Forests come in all shapes and sizes, well thats I think!  I loved the solitude of this hike and the views of the beautiful saguaro cactus.  I only  came across a few people on the way up, on the way down more people were coming up but still not over crowded.  The first couple of miles were easy but the third took me a bit of time to complete.  The elevation started to affect my breathing but I put one foot in front of the other and made it to the top.  The views of Tucson did not disappoint!  Having a 2 hour drive home, I decided to take the same route down that I took up to eliminate the extra mile.  I finished around 12:30, the parking lot was packed!

I stopped at the visitor center to get my National Park stamp for my book and bought a magnet to commemorate my accomplishment.
