As a child I looked from the Cannon Mountain Tram across the Notch and dreamed of hiking the Franconia Traverse.

That dream came true on a hot and humid, but glorious day. Hiked up the Falling Waters trail to the summit of Little Haystack Mountain. Then, continued across the Franconia Ridge to Mount Lincoln and Mount Lafayette adding two peaks to my NH48. Views were spectacular, especially of the Pemi Wilderness and Owl's Head. Finished the day hiking down to the Greenleaf Hut and OBP back to where I began.

Rewarded myself with a nice soak in the ice cold brook to end my day. I now have 4 of the 7 challenge hikes done. Up next, Mount Katahdin!
