Our 3rd hike on this trip.

We were amazed by the park rangers. They made sure everyone was parking properly in their spot & if not will ask you do it again until you get it right. Not only were they helpful & knowledgeable about the area, they were courteous & polite.

On this challenge, we planned to hike it with one of the SoCal Legacy Challengers Harvey Fiji. But that morning he informed us that he was running late so me & my wife ended up hiking ahead. Harvey caught up with us at the saddle and we all hiked down together.

The sun was playing hide and seek the whole time but overall it was a pleasant day.

The view of the Weavers Needle was enticing…will definitely come back to summit it. I would suggest that from the saddle to go a little bit further to the right until you reach the ‘lonely tree'…there you will have a better view of the needle.
