Dirt road does get rough at one point about 2 miles from the trail head. Otherwise the dirt road is not bad, just take your time and watch out for sharp rocks. Arrived at 8:22am parking lot was full and we parked in the dirt right before the entrance, only about 4 other cars there. Beautiful trail with scenic route!! There are cactus, shrubs, water streams and beautiful foliage. I loved the different rocks and every where you lock you see something new. My phone says it was about 6 miles walked. Lots of foot traffic at different times, watch for manure on the trail. Many dogs which was nice to see compared to my normal trail. Some people were using walking sticks, and I did ok with just my hiking boots and bag.  We were at the point where you can see the Fremont needle by 10:30am. Ate lunch, took pictures. I like that even though there were a fair amount of people, we all were able to find a spot to sit. Down the trail was easy and we at the car by 12:10. Many, many pictures along the way
