I felt cursed doing this hike on Friday the 13th as I thought the trail was never going to end!  This was by far the most challenging hike of the 6pack as it was LONG – 21 miles long round trip!  My hubby Tom and I got an early start, just before sunrise and pretty chilly 46 degrees but in no time did the sun bring the warmth.  The weather over all was good with lots of sunshine and not too uncomfortable to hike in a light long sleeve shirt.  Fortunately we brought lots of water as it I needed it.  The trail is in good condition and the not too steep except towards the end you have some switchbacks.  The views were great and even better that no bugs were present except at top for one fly!  It took us about 7 hours up and 4.5 hours down.  We took some nice breaks on the way up at Dry Lake, near the airplane crash and at the peak.  But mostly, I am ecstatic the WE FINISHED THE 6-PACK OF SoCAL PEAKS!! Hooray!!
