The entire trail was sunshine through and through. No trees, no cloud cover, so come prepared with plenty of sunscreen. The hike still had a lot of beauty in it with some really cool rock formations and really great views at the peaks. The trail starts in the Anthem community back hills with pavement. Just follow the signs and you'll be fine to stay on trail. The last bit had some good scrambling for a pretty steep incline, but the views were well worth it. Take a picture with the flag at the summit (it felt like I had taken a picture with the flag on the moon haha). If you want a bit more of a challenge, continue on the 404 path marked with signs to the sister peak to the north. Be careful as the trail is not always clearly marked from one peak to the next, but you can easily find the trail again.
