Sunday 20, 2019.

It was a late start for my son and I as we decided to get our water and head out to Pistewa Peak. The time was around 11:00am when we left our house and headed to the trail head. The 30 minute drive gave us time to reminisce about our past hikes. We really having been in the outdoors scene for almost a year. This was a great opportunity to talk about were we want to be now that we have jump started our outdoors adventures.

Once to the trail head, we quickly found it it will be a heavily trafficked hike, as parking was almost near impossible, so we went down a block and park, a few more minutes of walking wont hurt anyone. If anything it gave us a great opportunity to warm up for the trek ahead of us.

We started slow to enjoy the hike, weather was just perfect, low 70's to high 60's.  Roughly at the halfway point we decided to take our first break, a couple of minutes later we kept on pushing forward. Once at the first peak we went around to reach the real peak, as my son called it.

Sat there for a while, enjoyed the views and just took nature in. Once we were ready for the descent we started heading down the trail again. In no time we were midway and finally down by the trail head.  After 2 hours, we started making plans to tackle Camel Back mountain. Definitely a must if you live in Phoenix or near the Phoenix area.
