Was a beautiful day, weather was good hit the trail about 8:00.  Fairly busy trail with a big group of runners on the trail but they were clear in just a few minutes and were very considerate.

The views just kept getting better the higher up we went, no complaints whatsoever. Weather was about 80 until afternoon so just a perfect day.

The cabin is locked but does lend itself to a certain Mountain top ambiance.  The fallen trees grass and growing pine were a nice mix.

Some flying termites at the top that were annoying but nothing too serious.  The volunteer in the observation tower was named Rick and he was a great tour guide for pointing out all the other peaks that you can see from the top.

Was able to see all the way to the north rim, Sedona, and more.  A great view of Humphreys and the San Francisco Peaks.
