Starting at Sturtevant Camp the gnats were beyond terrible. All the way to the Observatory. You couldn’t stop for less than one minute before they completely surrounded you. Everyone I’ve met going up and down had the same experience. They made stopping for a rest even for moment impossible. I would highly recommend that you take a head net or really good bug spray.
