Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

Oh My God!!!! This was the best best best hike. – Feels like a dream I went with my 16 yr old daughter and 2 dogs. The hike was so much fun and loveeeddd the snow- it was tough and slippery here and there but with the right gear, it is fun. It started off little wet ( after-effects on the rain)  and you get snow mid-mountain – heavy snow on the summit. We started at 1:30 pm. Sun set at 4:30 we were  1 .5 miles short of the base and mobiles dead, flashlight wouldn't work – we literally felt our way down coz it was pitch dark. All of you who have done it, know it starts rocky so on our way down , it was rocky , dark, cold, raining – WE LITERALLY FELT OUR WAY DOWN one mile – side stepping, tapping the rocks, the trees – the last quarter of a mile we could see the parking with only our car there but we had no clue are we going into the waterfall or towards the trail leading to the parking – what a grand finale of the norcal six peak challenge
