This is a really nice hike. The trailhead is easily accessible by any car. The first half of the hike is forested the second half is exposed. I hiked with my 79 year old dad and we took the winter route at the top over the boulder field. While this was a lot of fun, I recommend the main trail for the way down or less adventurous hikers. The boulders are huge, exposed and there are large and dangerous gaps to be aware of. A more extreme version of the boulders on St. Helens. The lookout here is closed but provides a shady spot to rest underneath. Great views and flowers.
