UGH is the best word to describe this hike. Dry, hot, dusty. Lots of service roads, which made it feel more like exercise than a hike.
Followed the Gray Butte trail around the mountain and walked up a steep rocky path to the summit. Would not hike again.
Hiked Tumalo Mountain a few days later in a cold rainstorm. Much better than Gray Butte.
Positive note: cell tower at the top so had 5 bars and caught up on texts.
