UGH is the best word to describe this hike.  Dry, hot, dusty.  Lots of service roads, which made it feel more like exercise than a hike.

Followed the Gray Butte trail around the mountain and walked up a steep rocky path to the summit.  Would not hike again.

Hiked Tumalo Mountain a few days later in a cold rainstorm.  Much better than Gray Butte.

Positive note:  cell tower at the top so had 5 bars and caught up on texts.
